Our Specialities
-
Anxiety, Stress, & Burnout
When your mind is always racing and your body can’t seem to relax, daily life can feel exhausting. We help you understand what’s driving the overwhelm and teach tools to calm your nervous system, reduce overthinking, and reconnect with a greater sense of control. We also work with panic disorder, depersonalization-derealization disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and body dysmorphic disorder.
-
Insomnia & Sleep Concerns
Struggling to get a good night’s sleep? Our therapists are trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), a proven method to help you develop healthy sleep patterns and improve your overall well-being. CBT-I can reset your sleep cycle, improve rest, and get your nights (and days) back on track.
-
History of Trauma or PTSD
Trauma can leave lasting imprints on your mind and body, showing up in ways you may not expect—like emotional numbness, disconnection, tension, or reactivity. We use approaches like EMDR and IFS to help you process the past safely and move forward with more ease and self-trust.
-
Depression & Mood
When even the simplest things start to feel heavy. Depression isn’t just sadness—it can show up as irritability, loss of motivation, difficulty concentrating, or feeling disconnected from the people and activities you once enjoyed. At Tella Psychology, we understand that depression is shaped by early experiences, chronic stress, trauma, and patterns that developed over time. We work with you to understand your depression and build meaningful tools for healing.
-
Chronic Medical Conditions & Health Concerns
Living with a health condition affects more than your body—it impacts your mental health, identity, and daily life. Whether you’re adjusting to a new diagnosis, looking for support to stay consistent with a medical plan, feeling anxious about procedures like needles, or seeking effective pain management techniques, our health psychologists are here to help. We provide compassionate, practical strategies to enhance both your physical and emotional well-being, empowering you to manage your health with confidence.

Phobias
Phobias are intense, persistent fears that can feel overwhelming and out of proportion to the situation. Phobias often lead to avoidance, safety behaviors, and constant mental monitoring (“What if this happens?”), which can quietly shrink your world over time. EMDR 2.0 helps gently retrain your brain and body to respond differently — without forcing you into overwhelming exposures.
Common phobias we work with include: fear of spiders or insects; fear of birds or other animals; fear of heights, fear of flying or riding in an airplane; emetophobia (fear of vomiting or seeing others vomit); fear of germs; fear of medical or dental procedures, needles, or blood; social phobia; and fear of driving, elevators, or enclosed spaces.
“The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.”
— Dr. William James
